Where do saved posts go on Instagram?

Instagram keeps the posts and reels you save in a private Saved section on your profile. To get there, open your profile, tap the menu icon, and tap Saved. Everything you saved is under All posts, with any collections you made next to it.

The rest of this page covers what you can do in Saved and why some saves seem to disappear.

The short answer: your profile, then Saved

The path is the same on iPhone and Android. As of 2026 it is usually:

  • Open your profile. Tap your profile picture in the bottom bar.
  • Open the menu. Tap the menu icon in the top corner.
  • Tap Saved. All posts comes first, followed by any collections you made.

Instagram changes its menus from time to time. If Saved is not where you expect, search Instagram's settings for “Saved” or check the app's current help pages.

What you will find inside Saved

Saved is a grid of the photos, carousels and reels you saved, newest first. It has two parts:

  • All posts. Every save lands here automatically.
  • Collections. Optional folders you create, such as “Recipes” or “Outfits”. A post can sit in All posts and in a collection at the same time.

To sort reels into collections as you save them, follow our guide on how to save Instagram reels to folders.

Why some saved posts disappear

Saved points back to the original post on Instagram, so what you see depends on that post staying available to you.

  • Deleted posts. If the creator removes a post, it generally drops out of your Saved too.
  • Private or archived posts. If an account goes private or archives a post, you may lose access unless you follow them.

Saves from other apps live somewhere else

Saved only holds Instagram posts. The video you saved on TikTok or the thread you bookmarked on X stays in that app, so finding something later starts with remembering where you saved it. Going back through each list is also up to you.

Keeping every save in one place with Savio

Savio is a free iOS and Android app that keeps saves from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more in one private library. On a post, tap share and pick Savio. Savio keeps the title, creator and caption and re-hosts the thumbnail, so a save still shows what it was if the original goes private. A collection only becomes shareable when you choose to share it.

Search, the daily digest and the rest are on the features page. You can also read Savio vs Instagram Saved collections, or see Pro pricing if you outgrow the free limits.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find my saved posts on Instagram?

Open your profile, tap the menu, then tap Saved. Your saves are under All posts and in any collections you created. Instagram updates its layout often, so the exact path can vary by version.

Can other people see what I saved on Instagram?

Instagram describes your saved posts as private to you. Check Instagram's current help pages for the latest details.

Why did a saved post disappear from my Instagram Saved?

Saved points to the original post, so it may stop showing if the creator deletes it, archives it, or makes their account private.

Can I keep Instagram saves together with TikToks and YouTube videos?

Not inside Instagram. Savio saves from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more, plus any link, into the same collections.
